TDS creates socially-rewarding recreational activities for young people. That’s what we do, and we do it
well. Long known and respected for community-building and support activities for children with special
needs, TDS is now pleased to offer Summer Camp experiences that create community for all children.
Week by week, your children will explore the realm of imagination from 9:00 a.m. until noon in a safe and
mutually-supportive environment with peers, caring adults and teen mentors. Our staff are well-educated
and committed to working with all kinds of personalities, helping children discover and dig deep into their
own sources of kindness, curiosity and confidence. At TDS, we know how to make learning fun!

All camps are 2-week sessions, Monday–Thursday

Pirate Camp

Aspiring adventurers explore the realm of imagination in a safe and supportive environment. Adults, peers
and teen mentors guide a week of discovery using pirate costumes, pirate nicknames and a non-piratical
appreciation of The Fairness Doctrine. There will be an outing each week.

Princess Camp

What makes a princess a princess? A mutually-supportive royal environment in which each princess
explores her innate curiosity, confidence and competence! Enchantment and self-expression come alive
through puppetry, crafts, costume elements and magical games. There will be an outing each week.

Animals and Art Camp

Created for campers who love animals in the wild, in their homes and in their imaginations. What are the
characteristics that attract humans to their animal friends? Adults, peers and teen mentors help campers
express those qualities in drawings, painting and dramatic arts. There will be an outing each week.

Superhero Camp

What makes a Superhero so SUPER? Adults, peers and teen mentors guide mutual exploration of the
qualities that attract us to the superhero genre. Campers make drawings, cartoons and posters that
explore their own heroic personalities. It’s a superhero extravaganza! There will be an outing each week.

Olympics Sports Camp

Guided by adults, peers and teen mentors, campers will organize their own schedule of sports activities
with an Olympic theme. The TDS approach to sports helps campers build confidence, teamwork and
mutually-supportive peer relationships. There will be an outing each week.
